Man I used to "Pop" my ass off back in the days when this jam came on, Yeah we used to call it Poppin before break dancing which was short for pop locking, a lot of cats don't know that, and pop locking came from California Shabba Doo and Rerun from What's Happening was in a dance crew that had started that up.

This is the short short version on video. Not even 3 or more minutes worth. This reminds me of the beginning of the 70's TV show "Chico And The Man" where the entire opening & the entire song showed people & places all through out the entire video here. The Chico And The Man theme song was great & is a classic as well. Jose' Feliciano is the best at what he does.

A fantastic track when using samplers was a relatively new thing but they used it with such amazing imagination.

@DLCOrganization Lol! I guess I forgot to get back to you on this, oops! Anyway, I got introduced to this CLASSIC cut in reverse order. Diversion I is the first version I heard of "Beat Box" after it was already quite popular. I didn't hear the Original version until about a year later! It was on a mix tape from a local radio station one of my little brother's friends loaned me. Diversion I is awesome, but the Original is my favorite version and proved much harder to find back in the day? ;)

@stereoloov This track started off as an experiment using the Fairlight, which Gary Langan apparently bought back from Australia. I think it was the first one bought back to the UK for work on the Yes 90125 album which Trevor Horn & Langan were working on. Check out the 12" of Owner of a lonely heart & some Dollar 12"s. The car engine noises are from a ditty originally called "Cantata for VW starter". Best back ground on this track get the CD "And What Have You Done With My Body God" ZTT201CD

@ffm20zaheri Well I was wondering that! Only because of the white on black painted faces. Very much like his art work on Propaganda's Mabuse video & single art. Also the early 90's Depeche sleeve art. i would say it is! But i'm not a betting sort of person ;-)

@datboysha40 Sure is, why do you think it appeared for a brief moment in the movie Breaken'?
