I dreamed this entire song an hour ago, 5:45 am, Los Angeles, and am in tears because this morning I decided to break up at last with a controlling wealthy man who has had me under a golden cage for four years. As a little girl I kind of knew what the lyrics were about, and today, at 46, I find that I am these lyrics. The dream was me playing and singing this whole song start to finish on guitar. I know what that means. Thank you Arlo

I still have the quadraphonic (CD-4) version of this album, and this prompted me to dig it out and play it again after several years. Memories!

Great story too, comes from an 'Old English' folk tale (probably borrowed from the German of course...)

Brings back mems! The STEREO and Transient Attack of the bells, horns and percussion is amazing on this Vinyl cut. This was my "Pick Hit Of The Week" back in 1973. Oh...my DJ days. Great stuff...THANX!
