Such a talented guy, piano, trumpet, guitar and a fantastic lyricist, I'm a huge Madness fan and hope he can find a balance that allows him to continue to write and perform with them and follow his solo career - but I can see why he feels so limited in Madness given the quality, the power and depth of feeling he is putting out in his own name. Really looking forward to his solo album. Good luck Chas and Cathal

Stephen Hopkins, I'm sorry my friend. I fully feel your pain after my marriage breakdown, I feel dead inside.

I am a huge fan of Robert Elms and his radio show, the course of my day was brought to a standstill one day last year when he conducted an interview with a chap who sung about the heartbreak of his marriage ending. I was reminded of the interview yesterday when I saw it on twitter and googling the song to find where I may be able to buy it has led me to you tube.I was in the same spot as the musician a couple of years ago. My beloved wife one day decided she wanted out of our marriage. Like the musician our family had a great time together. The kids were in a loving COMPLETE family which was always my number one priority. If I had THOUGHT the split of my family would be unbearable, nothing could have prepared me for the reality. I took the kids on holiday before christmas, without my wife, and it really sucked. It was in no way shape or form the same as when we were a family and it was tough keeping a brave face for the kids. We did have fun but I was crying on the inside. IT SUCKS. I didnt marry to divorce! I still do not know what happened. Sixteen years ago this wonderful woman entered my life and POOF she was gone. Seems like in a blink of an eye it was over. I would rather lose a limb than have my heart broken like that again, truly no physical pain can ever match the misery of the person you love calling it a day and having to move out of the family home.THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR VIDEO I HAVE ADDED IT TO MY FAVOURITES PLAYLIST.RegardsStephen

1st Heard this on Radio London when he played it live a few weeks prior to this concert , he got so emotional he stopped playing the piano , regained his composure then sang the rest acapela , You could hear in his voice see how much these words mean to him. Lovely song thanks for sharing
