quite simply, our ears have been desensitized to all the screaming. To us, its as normal as speaking regularly. So, with that desensitization out of the way, focus tends to gravitate toward instrumentals. At least, that's how i feel it works for me. I find the screaming becomes more background and im hearing more of the guitars and drums. Especially drums, but that's cause i'm a drummer. Learn to appreciate the underlying context, you narrow minded fuck :)
