It's the same band. The Reflektors are to Arcade Fire what Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is to the Beatles.

All the songs from Reflektor is not from Arcade Fire... Only "You Already Know" is from them. The reast is from the band The Reflektors.

I'm on my 3rd listen through and I love it. Disc 2 caught me off guard and blew me away. (Hey Eurydice) followed by (Oh Orpheus) followed by Porno (personal fav right now) followed by Afterlife followed by the closing track Supersymmetry...I love this album and don't understand the hate

The whole album isn't going to sound like the title track. Listen to "Normal Person" from the Here Comes The Night Time special. That's a lot rock-ier.

Huh?

I love this track, and wasn't aware of the backlash it was receiving for being so dancey. They've thrown dance into their previous albums pretty consistently, mainly with the addition of off-beat high hats ("Neighborhood 1", the end of "Crown of Love", "Rebellion (Lies)", and more recently, "The Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains"). I really don't see this as a huge departure from what they've done before. They still have a huge sound with varied instrumentation...and it's wonderful.

it reminds me of Fleetwood Mac/Abba my mom used to listen to that stuff all the time when I was growing up, so therefore, like Sprawl II, I love the song.

I am surprised he didn't mention James Murphy's obvious piano riff at the end.

I have nothing against Arcade Fire becoming more popular with the mainstream, provided it's done on their terms. I think they've done it with this track, and even more so with the marvelously arranged track "We Exist". Let the mainstream find them. I think it will happen this time. The mainstream NEEDS a game-changing band like this to shake things up - the same way Nirvana did in the '90s.

When I heard the disco dance/saxophone vibe it brought me back to the roxy music manifesto album.
