Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favour of fair use. Bassline to the song as requested. There's a couple of mistakes and it's not as fluid as I'd like it yet - I only learned it 20 minutes ago - but the basics are there. Thanks for your suggestion to play the song! If you have any more tunes you'd like me to have a stab at let me know :-) Enjoy....

It is very well played and for me a great inspiration how to improvise. The attraction is also in the combination of the singing and the bass guitar.

the absolutely fantastic Joe Osborne. most likely improvised by him during the session. one of the funkiest bass parts ever played by a white guy. all on his glorious Fender Jazz bass with Stack Knobs and Flat Wounds. priceless.

The Let The Sunshine In is NOT an easy bass part.

I like your energy coming from you and going via your strings. I can see that you feel this song, and that is the most important thing.Well done!

Awesome bass cover!

No, you only need a four string. This song is from 1967, I doubt many if any five string bass guitars were around then. Joe Osborn played a 1960 Jazz with flatwounds and a pick.

How could you own a bass and not want to learn to play this song? So much grooving in one song! They don't write enough music like this anymore.

Hey dude, great cover. I want to learn this myself, I noticed you're playing on a five string. So I was wondering, do you need five strings to play this song or is that just how you play it?

My original comment got deleted awhile back, but I just stopped in to listen to one of the best versions of Aquarius I've ever heard. Thanks again Mr. Osborn :)
