I remember this song being sung on an album by Maria Muldaur in her high period (Amos Garrett, Waddy, etc.) It's a few years, but I even reached out to an assistant of hers and could not get a good response. MM's version was awesome, and I sure would like to locate it.

Didn't read your new comment until now. Don't worry, I'm glad you asked, and so glad that you have found the song! It's possible that others may have recorded it earlier, I don't really know if it was a new song when Sinatra recorded it or not. I thought it might be older too.

I put a comment on one of your pages asking if you could help me with song lyrics and now I can't find the page to erase it. It was a Sinatra tune, which I found..but I could have sworn it was from the forties or before, rather than 1954. I bought it on amazon and then found it here (isn't that always the way). sorry to bother you. If you find that comment, please erase it. thanks

My mother used to sing this lovely old song to us in the 1940's. It's so wonderful to find it on You Tube. Thank you for posting it.

She is so cool and beautiful. This song is simple but her style is so attractive. I'm not from this era at all but I keep coming back to this song and other music by Annette. My ears demand it. The song is also a great little piece. She is definitely one of the greats of jazz. No doubt. The band was also very good. My compliments on posting a perfect recording that is nearly 80 years old.

I think the video is the only performance footage of Annette that exists. The version she sings in the video is a lot shorter than the recording, but it's still fantastic to see her in action.
