Annette was my first love when I was 7. I ran home from school every day so I wouldn't miss the Mickey Mouse Club, and roll call, "Annette!" Will always love you Angel.

My brother and I used to listen to all the MMC and Disney movie LPs when we were really little and one of our favorite things to do was stand at the top of the steps and sing this song to our mom and it would make her so happy... :)

I loved her too, but she was a human being. So what if she said why me? She did say it. People don't have to be saints. People need to vent their pain, and true friends want to be there when they do.

I just read the news online of Annette's passing. I was shocked ! I remember seeing her sing this song on Disney's "ANNETTE", during the hayride scene. She'll be deeply missed by all of her fans. R.I.P. ANNETTE.

Yes and know. She's free now. May she rest in SKA. "Jamaica Ska" the coolest, most timeless song she ever recorded. I grew up on The Mickey Mouse Club. I wanted to be her.

Why do the great ones have to go so soon; she was so brave. Shelley Fabares, her closest friend since 7th grade said, not once did she hear Annette complain and say "why me; why must I suffer?" she simply continued on doing what she could, when she could, and held tight to her faith. A true legend was lost today; but her influence will live on forever.

Truly a very sad day. Her pain of MS is finally over. :'(

Agree. But don't give up on the next generation, many of them are good-hearted and morally guided. See "Who will sing to me" and "Ave Maria" by Kaitlyn Maher, and Emily Bear on Ellen..

I remember this from the MMC...I never thought I'd find this "song that I only heard as a child". I swear I feel like crying. Thank you for posting it.

Everyone loves Annette. She's a first class lady through and through. However, whenever I hear her name or mention her in conversation, I can't help but think of this classic line: "No one's jugs are bigger than Annette's", said by Kennickie on "Grease". Sorry, Annette.
