In August of 67 I had the greatest pleasure to see Eric Burdon and the Animals in Roanoke VA. It was my 2nd concert(3rd counting Herman's Hermits in 65). There was a full light show(wet lights), strobe and black lights on stage as well as movies projected behind the band. There was home movie film of MONTERREY projected behind EB and Amimals that would only have been 2 months old. It rewired my brain for life. That whole year felt like "maybe I'm dreaming." When I later heard "Renaissance Fair" by The Byrds, I realized where that hook in "Monterrey" came from. One of my greatest memories! Thanks for allowing me to savor that moment in time!

Love Eric and the Animals. Loved 'ALL' his music. This was my 2nd favorite song after 'When I Was Young' ! Whatever happened to music. If I had 3 wishes one would be to be 10 years older and go back to the 60s !
