I never say this on youtube and I HATE when people do. But I hafta wonder a lot about who gave this video a thumbs down bc i mean just don't worry about music at all forever if that's how you feel.

The drumming is technical as fuck and difficult to play for sure. But it just doesn't sound good as music. Same for the guitar . Ok hate back fuckwads

Man. AAL has sure come a long way. I saw them at their first concert. I think it was Tosin, Javier and a moderately working computer. Still good though.Man. Matt plays hard for his speed and accuracy.

everyone complaining about it being complicated and such ... its not meant for everyone some people may hate it, others may love it .. its the most subjective argument one could have. I for one love AAL the complicated rythms and sense of urgency in most of their songs appeals to me, i look at it as though you're reading a book, every page helps progress the story and evolve more on the previous ideas ... their music is not cookie cut, every part is meant as a progression to the previous one... just like life basically, blink and you missed it ... i think that you have to 'listen' to this type of music .. you cant just let it play whilst doing something else, just like a book .. if you're reading and thinking about something else you probably have to go back and read it again .. Long story short .. AAL ze best !

A lot of people complain about him overplaying and not playing the originally written parts, but why do you think Javier and tosin rave about Matt and stand there in awe when he does solos...people might interpret it as him trying to show off and overplaying but that's what this band is all about, it's an instrumental band all amazing in their respective instruments. That's how they became as big as they are, writing incredible intricate parts and showing off what they've got. Matt has taken animals to another level and almost all real musicians who understand what's going on would agree.

I can see how some people think too much is going on, but I honestly wonder if some people just have trouble following the complicated rhythms and 67/375 time signature. Fucking PHENOMENAL technical ability and song writing. Keep it up Matt/Tosin/Javier

yulp from a drummers standpoint to listen to what hes doing individualy is awesome, all the ghost notes and intricate rythms is sick but as a whole it sounds like to much. Its something I wont listen to again, meaning its hard to listen to.Again from a musician standpoint dudes guitar playing is bad ass, as talented as it gets every guitar player I have and do play with study him.I just cant stand his vibe from his music I don't no how to feel when I listen to it,its not saddy happy or bad ass like say necrophagist or some sick deathmetal, its almost like listening to some old school circus music, weird and like youre going in circles kinda slowly getting sick or some shit,i don't no if that makes sense but individualy (there all badass musicians)not as a band though, but still respect the band to the fullest!@ sorry for the length of this shit, hord to explain, INPUTE?
