Yeah angel is the damsel but she has the power to temper omars failings. I think they did an excellent job conveying that in the movie.

This song was written in 1982 by Debbie for this cartoon but was recorded again for one of my favourite Debbie's solo albums the 1989 album Def Dumb & Blonde. Which is a much better version than the cartoons. Even though the cartoon version is very good. Check it out on youtube the songs called Maybe For Sure

I love Angel in this movie. Sure, she's the damsel, but she still kicks ass. She's faithful to Omar, but not a dumb little girl. She strikes the right cord. I wish there were more female characters like her period.

These movies don't sell well. And remember, animation is expensive. When animated movies fail, they fail big and can bring down a whole studio. Today with advancements in technology, people can make their own animated movies, but those still take time and wouldn't have the level of detail we see in this movie.
