As I watched Angels and Demons lately, I was stunned by the awesome music right at the beginning of the movie. Unfortunately, it's not part of the official soundtrack...
So here it is, I did a quick voice removal too, so there is only a bit SFX in the background...

Actually, you are right. In the sequel, Zimmer decided to make "Chevaliers de Sangreal" of the Da Vinci Code, Dr. Langdon's Theme music. Originally written with horns, followed by strings, in the sequel the violon gets center stage as here, a piece called simple "503" (DIII in roman numerals) : youtube. com/watch?v=FSnEkjDoLcY10 years ago

If we are talking about the same thing here.... The melody in not prominent in the "Angels and Demons" sequel (or prequel) because it is considered Dr. Langdong's Theme... there's a slightly longer version at the end credits.10 years ago
