Angelo Branduardi speaks of Genova. It is the first time since more than 20 years that he sees this city again. In 1950 his parents arrived here with him from Cuggiono, a village in Lombardia. In this house in Recco, about 20 minutes by car from Genova, his new LP is born. Luisa, his wife and the daughters Sarah and Maddalena are here while he is working. You feel a harmony in the family.
At the age of 6 he started violin lessons and later he also learned about compositions and conducting an orchestra. Even though Branduardi never followed the fashion in music, he had great success already in 1976.
Then a light explosion of success began and continued till today. Luisa Branduardi writes the lyrics for her husband's songs. She feels my music, he says, and with her simple and clear lyrics she helps in a distinct way to give form to many of his songs.
