She said something about Angelina's nice shoes, and Angelina said please accept them I really want you to have them. She asked the girl what her life's dream was and the girl said she always dreamed of becoming a doctor but that would obviously be impossible. Angelina said no no never give up your dream. The girl asked her what her life's dream was and Angelina said she hoped to become a famous singer. Finally the girl said please remember me and Angelina said she would. Performing barefoot is her tribute to that homeless girl and all the kids in the world like her. So, I cried! What a kid! What a voice! What a heart! Disney Channel would be super smart to sign her, but Angelina is far beyond that!!! She is a jazz phenomenon, already able to sing, with just the right tones and intonation, styles of Billie Holiday, Etta James, Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong [singing, not trumpeting], Frank Sinatra, etc. - as Jackie Evancho might say "..to let the world know that MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!! :) You may think she's a passing freak show that will vanish soon, but with over 50 MILLION views on over 100,000 videos on YouTube, it seems that millions have already fallen in love with this sweet barefoot child with the hauntingly distant look on her face [wait 'til you hear WHY she likes to sing barefoot - I cried!] She may go platinum even younger than Jackie E. did ... She didn't astonish the judges and win Norway's Got Talent for nothing!! :) She started studying famous singers on Youtube at Age TWO!!! And something about this wild child grabs the hearts of millions! :)

GASP! This is so super good it's spooky, like an apparition! :) What to make of a mature- sounding jazz vocalist who interprets this song in the style of Billie Holiday ... ? ... EXCEPT THAT Billie Holiday never recorded this song!!! ... And when you look, you see a hauntingly beautiful barefoot primary school child with a strange distant look upon her face! :0 When you ask, you find that she's not a jazz- trained or immersed American, but the youngest winner of "Norway's Got Talent," at age 7!! If you compare her first audition performance, "Gloomy Saturday" with the recording by Billie Holiday, or her interpretation of "What a Difference a Day Makes" with the recording by Dinah Washington, you begin to wonder about reincarnation! :0 She began studying music on YouTube at about age one or two [!!!], choosing to hear the great vocal stylists of jazz - Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. Will she then become the greatest jazz singer of all time??? Listen to the jazz songs she's already recorded - "Summertime," "At Last", "I'm a Fool to Want You," "I Who Have Nothing ..." and your eyes may grow wide with wonder. Yet her lovely mother is trying to help Angelina do all the fun things that 7 and 8-year- old kids love - swim and play at the beach, study and play with her friends at school, etc. Let us pray for God's Grace to surround her and hers, and STAY TUNED!!!!
