A little about the piece:

This is a piece of music Eric wrote for his sister. He must have really loved her as this contains some beautifully crafted melodies - if I'm completely honest I quite often get a lump in my throat whenever I play this in concerts... (damn onions!...)

Onions aside, Eric was born in New York but grew up in the West Country of Ireland. As such, his music is highly influenced by the folk music of Ireland. He is quite well known for his innovative percussive guitar music in which the guitar is used as a percussion instrument as well as a guitar, but this is one of his lesser-known, gentler, folk-inspired pieces.
