Dude!... I Know what your saying/i seen them same year 1st time was with Manfred manns earth band and Blue oyster cult in philly,pa Spectrum... Phenominal BUT in 78 there own mini headlining had the magical scenery of them stacking those shiny boxes then angel APPeared out of those boxes... The stage production was awesum.... peace out from mpls,mn 8/20/09.....

Nice to see they reformed and are touring but they don't appear to be recreating the same show and image they had in the 70's---just playing the songs. That's cool but if you never saw the opening of their show in 1978 you have no idea what you missed! Had David Copperfield-like stage entrance with illuminated talking face/sign/backdrop (see cover of 1st album) introducing band members in a booming Godlike voice. Each member then popped out of a smoke filled stack of acrylic cubes! Surprise!

Didn't know they reformed recently. Their stuff blew me away in the 70's as a teenager...and their show in 1978 was phenomenal. Original Molly Hatchett warmed up. Too bad they stopped writing for heavy rock fans and started writing for young girls shortly thereafter :( If you never saw the opening of their show when they had the talking face/emblem sign and David Copperfield-like stage entrance you missed one hell of a act! Best 1st set opening I ever saw--and I saw everybody back then!
