When Brian had The "Hondells" record the song- corporate big wigs threatened to sue, but relented when sales of Honda motorcyles started to fly!...Beachboys were not contacted or thanked by the corporation -so to show the company they(Beachboys) controlled the song and it's contents when on a TV show (where legalities can explode) they changed the lyric 'little Honda' to 'little cycle.' It would be 10+ before corporations would "SEE" the value of using a pop song to enhance the promotion of their stuff.
