I know what you mean: on the Demos Andy played the bass himself, but nevertheless, the final bass lines - which is the real stuff - is the Genius work and bass wise it is Moulding, even though some lines come from Andy..... any way cheers man berh

Keep in mind most of Andy's songs' basslines have been written by him...and in this case (a demo) was likely played by him too.

I don't think they are/were underated, they had a great global appreciation of their music and have had some seriously accomplished artists covered their songs. You have to remember all bands who write and perform their own music are; annoying as it is, in a minority to that of the shite the so-called moral majority of sheep all listen to and accept without question. Sadly, it's the way it's always been, but people like us who are serious about 'real' music will always find great bands like XTC.

Andy is my all time favourite songwriter and live performer. Check out the XTC concert from Melbourne early 80´s. Brilliant!
