Ok, I play guitar - been playing for nearly 30 years, and I play some slide too - but I have NEVER seen a player using 2 slides at the same time. I'm curious as to why? Anyone know?

Just nice to see some young'uns playin rock on the dirty side. Been way to much industry trash out there for decades. Check out Johny Winters from the old days to see some equally nasty slide playing. Fun fun fun....rock on.

Both DT & Anders are great....they both slide......differently. & they both do it well. DT has a more jazzy flavor where Anders is grungier, more unhinged boogie rock. I own CD's from both.

Why the hell do we always have to put people against each other? Both Anders and Derek are great slide players and they are different kinds of players. why does it really matter if derek can play what anders does or if anders can play what derek can? They are both amazing guitarist making a great music Oh, and the fact that you even bring up derek standing like a statue just makes me want to pull m hair out. What the hell does that have to do with the music? you seem to miss part of the point
