Year 1808 king of sweden denied finnish language in public use. But, after when russians had conquered Finland y.1809 Tsar of russians saved finnish language.100.000 finnish men died y.1600-1700 for swedish king. Thus the king of sweden thanked finns. King of sweden thought that finnish language was peasant language and it was inferior compared to swedish language. That was swedish racism against finns.

Finnish people have lived in north Europe before the Vikings. They are realated to Sami people, but they have been mixed with different clans. Swedish vikings had a town called Birka, which Finnish hunters and warriors destroyed and burned to the ground as revange to Vikings who came to Finland for raping and killing womans and children. Vikings also raided and destroyed the Finnish villages.

+Usko Suomi No offense, but what sources do you have to back up your claim that "vikings tried to invade Finland several times but were defeated every time"? This seems very un-academic and more like wishful thinking and an embellishment of your own people's history (I assume you are Finnish). In truth the Vikings and ancient finns had very little contact at all, as viking expeditions were mainly directed at wealthy regions in Europe and Asia Minor, were valuable goods could be traded.

Russians are Slavic tribes and just because Russia was at war with Mongols doesn't make them Mongol either. Type in google "Finn Mongols" and read the second article from the top. So it turns out Finns are of Mongol origin, which makes them true Mongols.

Taitaa olla Jukka Murtosaaren kuvitus tuo eka mainitsemasi kuva, ja toinen on vissiin Aarno Karimon kädenjälkeä Kumpujen Yöstä -kirjoista. Kirjaston vanhoissa historian ja kansatieteen kirjoissa on usein hienoja kuvituksia, niistä minä joskus skannailen juttuja. Musiikki on Hail -nimisen black metal pumpun käsialaa, ei niillä muita tällaisia biisejä taida olla tosin.

Jumantsuikka, torhjelm! Mitä tää musiikki on ja mistä tällaista löytää? En oo koskaan aiemmin kuullut kenenkään sovittavan kalevalaista laulantaa tollaiseen tribal-chanttiin.
