Ok I figured it out, for some reason the solo reminds me a lot of "comfortably numb", album recorded version. 2 great solo's anyways :).

actually I don't think its from shine on you crazy diamond. I can't tell where its from, I just know there's another epic solo that's in my memory that uses almost the same notes right after 4:21. For some reason i think its either pink floyd or dream theater but I really can't figure it out. It doesn't sound like anything off of a pink floyd recorded album, but i'm thinking it might be from some live concert dvd.

great solo. but i wonder if anyone has noticed, it follows a very similar pattern to one of pink floyd's songs, with a guitar solo by david gilmour. I think its in "shine on you crazy diamond". I'm not saying he copied it, there's just some similarities, and if I pause right in the middle I can hear the rest of the pink floyd solo in my head, but i can't hear to the point where the lyrics come in, so that I might know what song its actually from :)
