This is a great song from a great band.

It feels awkward to see Vincent and the other band members act like some corrupted showbiz rock stars inviting the crowd to sing along. It totally destroys the intimacy of the song. Although such demeanour surely matches the absence of true essence behind the song. To me, there's nothing too personal about it since the lyrics are helplessly cheesy and downright unpersonal - anyone could have written those lines. Apart from that, Vincent cannot sing live which makes Anathema strictly a studio band (which is not a bad thing). I used to like them 15 years ago and have grown since then. They now seem so small.
