Their new stuff makes me want to cry, especially when I think of the songs you just mentioned, how unique they used to sound... They were a metal band, but no one sounded like them. Now they're something else, and there are so many similar sounding bands who do what they're trying to do, but better. What a waste... And now their fanbase is mostly filled with people who say the band never got good until Judgement. Ouch...10 years ago

I wish they stayed more like Silent Enigma. This was great but Pentecost III & Silent Enigma is their best sound for me. Their new stuff doesn't even sound much like progressive rock. Apparently Vinny doesn't even like much prog rock. He's more into post rock, pfft. You can tell. Great prog rock doesn't sound like what Anathema do. They were closer to more interest prog rock on Alternative 4 & Judgement. The new stuff is just contrived.10 years ago
