In my opinion Amorphis has 3 periods in their music. Koivusaari's one, Koskinen's one and Joutsen's one. I don't like Pasi Koskinen as a singer (but maybe I didn't listen well) but the first and the third periods are awesome! The First three albums with Tomi Koivusaari's vocals are the only death-metal albums I like! Now Amorphis play the other music, not only death-metal and this music is the best soundtrack for my life!

Elegy was the turningpoint in Amorpis way of making songs. The apparent step towards "proge" was taken in this album.
