Jabberwocky at 2:30. The best rendition I have ever heard. The whole song has great music too so if you can hang with prog listen to it.

JabberwockyBY LEWIS CARROLL’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.“Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!”He took his vorpal sword in hand; Long time the manxome foe he sought—So rested he by the Tumtum tree And stood awhile in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back.“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy!O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!” He chortled in his joy.’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.Take a bow

This could have been done by King Crimson.Surprising how the influences are there from K.C. and from Yes. Ambrosia are extremely talented and deserve to be put in the same level of respect as K.C. or Yes. One of Americas best.

Short percussive bit beginning 5:05 reminds me of early ELP (the barbarian?), Kansas gnat attack and... something else... and another thing or 2!

Mama Frog, a classic.

Absolutely agree. Such a shame. They had a couple other interesting prog-crossover songs on their following albums, but nothing like their self-titled.

What the hell happened to this band? The first album was a work of prog rock genius. And then... they changed to a Daryl Hall and John Oats clone.
