Yes, you're right. I found that myself only recently. :-)

Nils Nordling

There are two male singers in this song. Nils Nordling (ex-Anthriel, ex-Dreamtale) sings the verses and Tuomas Nieminen (ex-Adamantra) with Nils Nordling both do the choruses with Heidi.

@mezzicameadowsnevaeh Yes I agree with you, I also download to discover new songs or artists, then I always buy if I like... But what I mean is if you give the CD to all people who don't own the CD, how can you be sure they'll buy it... Indeed I also guess everything will be spread over the Internet in the future, however I just hope people will keep on legally buying the CD.

@TheMililie Of course it's not. I respect buying cds for promoting a band or an artist, and anyone who is willing enough should buy it. And anyone who has money. What's wrong with downloading music? It's one way of promoting the music as well. And a lot faster, if I might add. Anyways, sometime in the future, everything's going to be done over the internet, so...

@mezzicameadowsnevaeh Buying the CD is so much easier as well... Making music is not free you know and if you really supported Amberian Dawn, then you wouldn't offer download link to people. Anyway, great album. No regrets I bought it!

@Pitwulf Like I said: good for you. :-) There are a lot of better bands and music for me to surrender my ears to it, so off I go. ;-)

@mezzicameadowsnevaeh hehe yeah, in an interview they said that valentine was just a temporary name for the song and they knew it was very cheesy and unimaginative but in the end they couldnt think of anything better and sticked with it :P but the song itself is actually about a man selling out to become a popular entertainer but having regrets at the last minute. Ive listened to the old xandria now and its def not bad but i still like the new xandria aswell :)

@Pitwulf Manuela's voice is not bad (she is a soprano, that is great by itself), but the entire band has gone through a big change, not just in terms of vocal replacement, but in the musical and lyrical style as well. For example 'Valentine' is such a yearning-for-commercial song. Seriously? Valentine? - Not imaginative at all. Maybe when you listen to their previous albums, you'll say that you like this new one better, but the facts are facts: they wrote better music 5, 7 and 9 years ago.

@mezzicameadowsnevaeh ok, i havent listened to all the albums but manuela has an amazing voice. her range is great and its very operatic. but everyone has different opinions so...

@Pitwulf Good for you. ;-) My deduction does come from a subjective point of view, and that is - I did not like it, at all. My objective point of view: not a very good album, the music is still pretty the same, but the new vocal is a lot worse than Lisa was. One just has to face that fact, and one can only do that if one has listened to all the albums.

@mezzicameadowsnevaeh I loved the new xandria album man!

@philosopherNL I'm really not sure, it's been bugging me for a long time, but I believe that it is their main guy (composer, guitarist, keyboardist) Tuomas Seppälä. On the 'Cold Kiss', Timo Kotipelto is the other vocal, and that's it. ;-)

@AnitaMCV It is only you, Bon Jovi and Alice Cooper are in the rock genre, this is metal, and symphonic, for that matter. But, they have changed the concept of the album in reference to the previous three, so I believe, that is what led you down the path of thinking that this could be anything like Bon Jovi or something/someone else. Peace. ;-)

Who does the male vocals?

It's only me, or, they changed a lot their music? This reminds me Bon Jovi or Alice Copper, and I don't like them :/

@CrimsonWolfsbane Since YT doesn't allow posting download links in comments, I'll need your e-mail address to send you the download link...;-)
