Amazing: in 1973 she was obviously good enough for David Bowie... then she graced the cover of a Roxy Music album... then she got in the charts... nobody seemed to give a flying f•ck what was her physcal birth gender. 40 years on young people have regressed to morons and seem to be so preoccupied with uncool stuff like what sexuality someone might be, or, whether she was or wasn't a man... or whether Grace Jones is a woman or Dusty Springfield was a lesbian.Guess what? it is all UNIMPORTANT. A star exudes mystery. You will never know. So, can't you just enjoy the sounds and visuals? Or, is 'enjoyment' also a concept you seem to be having a problem with? Is this only possible the minute you see someone's birthcertificate with the right, for your liking, gender ticked? Get a grip. Or, move to Russia, where they seem to find concepts such as sexuality terrible important and lynch youif you are gay or lesbian or a transexual (or a journalist or coloured person). Either that, or, finally enter the civilised world in the 21st century...

Vielleicht war sie es, die meinen Mundwinkel-Fältchen-und-Grübchen-Fetischismus auslöste. Oder doch Jane Fonda? Zur Diskussion Mann-Frau: Alle Menschen sind zunächst weiblich, erst später werden Embryos mit XY-Chromosomen in Richtung männlich "umgebaut", aber nicht vollständig - siehe die männlichen Brustwarzen. Wenn Amanda Lear transsexuell ist, gelang die Rückverwandlung jedenfalls umwerfend. Ich könnte mir auch vorstellen, dass es ein Marketing-Gag war, nachdem wohl wegen der dunklen Stimmlage Diskussionen aufgekommen waren. Dabei sind derart tiefe Frauenstimmen gar nicht so ungewöhnlich - Adele Neuhauser, Eartha Kitt, Marla Glenn, Sandra Nasic (wenn sie will).
