Exactly. there's actually nothing racist about the film! True, it does have slaves, but the fact is, that's history, it's just the time period. Uncle Remus is portrayed as an intelligent and kind old man :))) And anyone with half a brain can see the true messages of the story.

I'm really hoping that when someone replaces Bob Iger as Disney CEO, they will release Song of the South. Disney are just making the stigma surrounding the film worse by not releasing it. The characters and Splash Mountain are present in the parks and the song has become an anthem for the company. They need to realise that releasing the film might not be such a bad thing.
