I saw him play at the tower theater in philly years ago. of course he was wielding his signature gibson. after the encore or two, he unstrapped it and made like he was gonna toss it into the audience, then with a big goofy grin he waved goodbye and ran off stage....killer show. a great blues-boogie man he was.

Other guitarists are fast too, but most seem like they can't write good songs, something you actually want to hear more than once..not to mention they also can't sing worth shit, unlike Alvin who's has several great ablums under his belt..
