This song brings tears to my eyes. The first time I heard this, I was taking care of my grandmother. She was bedridden with Alzheimer's. She passed not long from when I first heard this song. When I hear "until we meet again" it brings tears to my eyes. I miss her so much. I dedicate this song to her. Thank you for making this album.

There is a saying amongst knowledgeable haole's (non Hawaiian ancestry, Europeans)"The Missionaries came to do good and did very well indeed".

One last note. I am jewish, so I can post this; but I do wonder. What would have happened if the Missionaries were Jewish, Huh? Judism would have fit in with Hawaiian culture so much better. Not that Jewish people go door-to-door; or to other countries, preaching the word of God.

With the greatest respect and honor of HRH Liliuokalani, this song can be verified historically, in her own writings. It is a song about another Princess and her love who was to leave the island. To understand the true essence and meaning of the song, you would have to truly understand the word "aloha". Mahalo - Ua mau ke ea o ka aina i ka pono

Yup, return to old Hawaii: Trade in your Camero and start planting taro. Oh, be sure to smash out the brains of anyone committing taboo. The best of Hawaiian culture still survives, because of, not despite, the "evil" Americans.

Hawaii was an ally.So much for trust! President Cleveland should've had the balls to overthrow the government of Dole. And reinstate the Queen.
