This is the first, the very, very first lady I fell in love with, I was absolutely besotted, hooked, line and sinker.  Unfortunately she never knew!  As a point of interest Alma is always regarded as the number one female from that era (she will always be mine) but whilst a lot more shy couldn't Ruby Murry have given Alma a run for her money and be a bone of contention over the most popular female of the 50's very early 60's? I would love to know.

lovely tune, beautifully sung,. brought back to life by the TV advert In those days we had a fleet of British singers who could record a hit and know the American originals would be too busy to come over this side. Sometimes just as good or better,Nice arrangement too, b

To my shame I'd kinda forgotten Alma until I stumbled upon her 'just' here on blessed YT. God! She was truly a fantastic deliverer of those wonderful songs which pre-dated the R&R Tsunami, and the downhill slither until we reach the pseuds promoted by SIGH cruel to make him & wallyidiot rich. RIP Alma Cohen.....a TRUE ST** if ever there was one.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
