Thats why so many punk acts have these extensive tours in japan they still appreciate the genre. Idk music seems to be very cyclical especially now that disco, house misic, and the club scene in general so theres only a matter of time before we have 3rd wave punk

Theyre stil around goin strong theyre just smart theyve released their last couple albums in japan. Punks still huge and widely appreciated there so theyre just capitalizing on the trend
