When I first heard George Strait's classic "All My Ex's Live In Texas" on the radio, I thought it was Roger Miller doing another "King Of The Road"-type recording. This song has stuck with me ever since, and was even featured in the picture "Road House" with Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott, as played on a cafe's jukebox. My attempt at this song was done as a request by the concert host, after I had completed a rendition of "High Noon", with the mandolin player not quite hitting all the right chords, resulting in an unintentional parody of that Dimitri Tiomkin-Ned Washington classic. The audience needed a few laughs, anyway.
