Joel Katz sings lead and second tenor... Johnny Maestro sings first tenor. That's probably why Johnny's voice is so strong on this recording.

Perhaps Johnny sang this in concert, and that's what Grace is thinking of--or maybe she is thinking of another Christmas song recorded by Johnny. This is on Joel Katz's Christmas album (check his website) with Katz listed as lead singer and Johnny listed as first tenor. I also asked Larry Chance (a backup singer on this song), and he confirmed that Katz was the lead singer. Katz's voice is very similar-sounding to Johnny's voice, and he often sings in the same style as Johnny did.

How wrong the person who thinks that's Maestro singing lead. IT IS JOEL KATZ singing lead. Joel has led Jersey groups for 40 years and is renowned for his lead vocals. Here, he nails the lead vocal. Johnny is on backgrounds with Bobby Jay and Larry Chance. So let the record show - JOEL KATZ IS ON LEAD VOCAL.

Our Lord is to be proclaimed and named. Johnny let us know he loved jesus. I feel sad he is not here , new songs or get to see him.
