This song is a high energy electro jam. Sounds kinda like a similarity to "Freez" IOU. Espcially the extended version. How people get the "Latin Freestyle" sound easilly confused to this beat. And for the record Madonna was doing her own thing way before this song hit the turn tables and discos. She had already recorded "Everybody" years before this song became a club hit. Yes, they both have similarities from stardom but Madonna never intended to copy Alisha. It's just a coincidence. Madonna actually knows Alisha especially way back in the 80's era. And the producer/remixer Shep Pettibone worked with both ladies @ the time and made big dance hits for them each. Like "Into the Groove" for Madonna and "Baby Talk" for Alisha. Both songs have a similar beat which is not a coincident. Shep knew what he was doing @ the time. Making big moniey for himself and these Iconic ladie of the 80's. : )
