Would is the 13th song of the album ''Dirt'' (my favorite).

Lyrics:

Know me broken by my master,

Teach thee a child, love hereafter,

Into the flood again,

Same old trip it was back then,

So I made a big mistake,

Try to see it once my way.

Drifting body, its sole exertion.

Flying, not yet quite the notion.

Into the flood again,

Same old trip it was back then,

So I made a big mistake,

Try to see it once my way.

Into the flood again,

Same old trip it was back then,

So I made a big mistake,

Try to see it once my way.

Am I wrong?

Have I run too far to get home

Have I gone?

left you here alone

Am I wrong?

Have I run too far to get home, yeah

Have I gone?

left you here alone

If I would, could you?

Last night when I was sleeping, I had a dream that I was seeing AIC play a secret but very packed show at an underground bar. They opened with this song and the crowd and the band were both very alive, including Layne... It felt real. I woke up super fucking sad, but it was an amazing experience, even in my sleep.

Man take me back to pollock pines 1998 please i miss that time, that place, this music, my family all close and together, the dirt bikes and 3 wheelers, the budweisers, some good hash and the old porch out there. Before everyone drifted apart, or od'd on dope or whatever. I miss the old days.. This song definitely takes me back. Almost any aic song actually . And I'm not even big on "grunge"
