Many people don't know that Skip Spence after his freak out in NYC with Moby Grape that landed him in Bellevue Hosp. for mental breakdown got a chance in Nashville to cut an album, This album. One he did in a weeks time after traveling to Nashville on a Motorcycle in his pajamas. Once there he wrote, sang and played all instruments on this album. When done he got back on his Motorcycle and again in his pajamas went on to San Francisco to rejoin his roots and his bandmates. The ones still left after the shakeup that is. Skip is a True American Icon. One that lights up the whole world of music with it's influence. Skip's light was a brilliant one that like all things luminary burned to close the suns surface temperature and eventually burnt out. The shadows from his light are still seen as they float through and around all eccentric and creative artist types. Of one I hope I am worthy of at some point, I do love his seventh sights and the way he see's through sound and lyrics to paint such a supremely sublime and sophisticated complete picture with his songs. Yes, I am a complete fool for some Skip Spence. All of his contributions with Jefferson Airplane "Takes Off" as a drummer, of all his tall shadows within the Moby Grape, one of the bands gyros wheels of inertia lending to so many top hits for the group. Finally all his eminently brilliant songs, singing and playing on the classic Album Oar. Skip's Golden contribution to humanity should we choose to listen and share it.

One of the great, acid fried, 60's songs...that no one heard of. I love the San Francisco sound. This is a classic!
