It's strangles... not shackles... unless I have hearing problems, listening to it louder makes me realize the official lyrics are correct, it does say strangles :) not having known the lyrics before by the way... yeah so basically shawn sings strangles :) not shackles...

I'm with ya on that theory. There must be a slight mistake or Lyrics was changed after the release of the album but of of course we can't be sure.

Occasionally they will write down the official lyrics wrong. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I think that's what they may have done here, although I cant be sure of course.

I do agree that it sounds so much better with shackles instead of strangles as the lyrics,but, if they want to put strangles as the official lyrics then its not our choice to change it since we don't actually have any influence, effect etc. on changing the lyrics chosen and created by the band. Although I have said this before, I completely agree that the song would sound immensely better with shackles instead of strangles. Have a nice day. :)

Idk why everyone thinks it's strangles, maybe that's what they put as the official lyrics, but it's very clearly wrong. The word shackles is very clear, not to mention it sounds better anyway.

It seems like everyone gets the first line of the chorus wrong... its "I shut my eyes and once again the pleasure shackles me" shackles, not strangles.
