So Albert Lee was not truly unknown to me since I've heard his name countless of times, but I had NEVER heard of him playing, never ever before this video. After 5s i was already creating a youtube playlist dedicated to him lol. it's called "true greatest guitar players". He's not going to fit alone in that spot, but i needed to create that playlist and Albert lee just motivated me for doing it because he made me drop my jaw. He's a kickass guitar player and he's as good with vocals.

Absolutely brilliant! I watched him several times in Holland (a.o. with Hogans Heroes) and apart from the fact that he's a great musician himself, he knows where the 'cream' comes from!

I saw him playing with Heads, Hands and Feet, at Portsmouth Guildhall in 1973, when they were promoting the Old Soldiers Never Die album, prior to disbanding.. He was memorably good. He must be in his 70s now, and along with Dave Edmunds, looks like he still enjoys music for music's sake. They've both played with the cream of the crop for most of their careers, and don't seem too downtrodden by the business. All power to their elbows.

Before Danny Gatton or Vince Gill or Keith Urban or Brad Paisley came along, Albert Lee wrote the book on the B-bender style. The solo he performed on the original Rockpile track of this tune was like nothing I'd ever heard at that time, Stunning. Got a chance to see him back around 1977 with Emmylou's Hot Band backing Roseanne Cash on her first tour behind Seven Year Ache. Albert Lee and that band (including Rodney Crowell) were just insanely terrific. This guy can just flat out PLAY.

for years lee has "played" one of these pre-programed units. the sound is on a disc in the guitar. lee just plays air - been fooling the public for decades.
