Saw Albert at Kingston Mines in Chicago in about '80. He walked out of the bar with a long power cord and was jam'n out on the street in front of the bar's big front window. His band just kept playing and we could hear him out there. My friends and I used to go to Chicago Fest too. They had bands lined up on Navy pier side-by-side playing at once. Big Twist was a Favorite. Even saw Sun Ra's Arkestra at the Jazz Fest. James Brown was on the air as a radio minister. Muddy Waters and his band paid a visit to our school at U of I. No doubt Chicago remains a fine place.
