Like all musicians starting out alanis kept a journal and where she would pour her out ideas and her thoughts etc. I saw vhi behind the music special where they spoke to her parents. This was a few years after her second album had just come out or was just about too. Her dad came across the journals she had kept. And was deeply shocked to see how angry she was. And he said that he did not understand where it came from. As she seemed so happy and they never apparently had a falling out...8 years ago
