Alan Parsons Project - Far Away From Home

Lyrics : We've come so far

To hear the words

Of hope and consolation

With no star to guide us through the night

Through many realms of fantasy

We wander and we roam

Far away from home

Then all of those

We held so dear

Grew tired of understanding

And we dream through the endless night alone

What sun can light this darkness

And what hand remove this stone

Far away, far away

Like a leaf that the wind has blown

Far away, far away

Far away from home

Far away from home

All that i am

What i've become

Will i ever find my place in the sun

What sun can light this darkness

And what hand remove this stone

Far away, far away

Will i ever find my place in the sun

Far away

I could be happy then

Far away

I'll find jerusalem

Far away from home

Far away from home

I only listen to the intro. Those first 30 seconds are part of my collection of classics,

So don't listen to it then. You're not being forced at gunpoint.

Thank you Eric. R.I.P. He passed on December 2nd, 2009 from cancer. The heart of this good man is revealed in all of his beautiful music. What a gift....to us!

This is actually not from an APP album. "Freudiana" was a concept album for a projected musical written by Eric Woolfson. But Parsons produced, so it's sort of a de facto Project album.

The greatest songs from Eric Woolfson in my opinion, and the Freudiana album Woolfson's masterpiece. Better even than the Alan Parson Project albums.
