Gives me the chills. Chilly, kinda spooky, Camp Humphreys Korea 1977 the smiling ghosts, the witches, of I've seen, and curses they can do of which they told me about. The sound of choppers coming in and flying out, it had that sound of that series of the time MASH. The smell of being there and mosquito coils burning in the summer , some mosquitoes big as dragon flies. Almost threw away my ticket back, almost stayed - had to think twice. Had to be there.

As brilliant as ever, no he doesn't lipsync, he is always live, saw him at RAH UK yesterday. Like wine he improves with age!

I've known this song for decades without knowing who the singer was. I've discovered him only recently thanks to YouTube. This voice is just unforgettable.

I've seen a lot of live shows in my life. A lot. Saw Al Stewart at the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh PA in 1978 Completely amazing. They blew the roof off the place with a version of the theme from "Pink Panther" and it was unreal. So incredibly good!!!

I remember in the late 70's, early 80's I used sit in my room with bulky headphones and completely soak in Year of the Cat, Time Passages and 24 Carrots. I spent my heard earned busboy dough on high end, audiophile vinyl of his LPs as well. In 2006, Al was playing in some church basement in Danville, California, near Walnut Creek and I was working in San Francisco at the time. I didn't have a car so to get there I took the BART and a taxi which got completely lost. I had brought with me my UK import remastered CD of Year of the Cat, the one that has the Story Behind The Songs and Belsize Blues on it. At intermission, I politely approached him to autograph it. He said no and walked away. What a dick.

Originally Tim Renwick plays the lead guitar on the year of the Cat, but this I believe is Adam Yurman who does a fantastic job of playing the piece.
