@meangreenmachine2011 Nope. It was written of the legendary guitarist Robby Krieger of the Doors. Many think it was their lead Singer, the poet Jim Morrison. However, I have never heard someone claim that it was John Densmore.

The irony here is that "Light My Fire" is The Doors' most widely known song, yet it was written by Robbie Krieger, not the "poet" Jim Morrison. The beauty of the song is that it has been covered by nearly everyone and across all genres and the song sounds beautiful most nearly every time, especially here with Al Green's interpretation.
