I feel like Akala works so hard and doesn't have the level of fame or recognition that he deserves.....:/

Akala big fan of yours, especially your talks and debates. Recently watched a Saul Williams interview on the breakfast club (you've prob seen it) where he talks about the music being hard enough but the lyrics aren't saying anything or the lyrics being hard but the music side lacking.. I like most rap (a lot of g shit not gunna lie) but id like to hear you on "harder" beats so to speak with the same message... I know you've progressed with the live band and all that but I think that's why your FITBS get so much love as well. The music gets people in then the lyrics kill them off if you get me.. I like most of your tunes anyway just saying it'd be good.. This track is big BTW

I agree I just gravitate to akala more because I shere his fasination whith world history and the social sciences. The actual base structures of how society's can be structured .he selobrates cultur and highlights the good and bad parts of all of them and recognises how ideas have traveled and understands how the world has got to where it is today .and he gets that weather your great grandad was forced to pick cain or dig coal the same people profited and stil do. Yet thay devide us to this day.

Na I'll never forget Lowkey. Akala is just as great in his knowledge and lyrical skill; they're both unique. Not sure why I say that, might be since their interests and intentions are slightly different - Lowkey didn't talk about slavery as much as he did foreign policy, war, and economic issues at home, in the UK. Might be because of their ethnic background. Also their flow/pace at which they rap is... different.

And to the coments no matter the race we are all slaves to the elites you can work the fields or get wiped until you do.and if you realy toe the line you can be house nigger . We got a good house don't we boss.personally il take the wips whith dignity till I get the chance to snach it and go nuts.and akala is better than lowkey but only becouse he flows better content there a dead mach.

It kils me akala don't get the views he deserves . I thought when he did fire in the booth that would change but it has not realy. It allso pisses me off when I talk about him most don't kno who I mean til I mention shakspear (whith a nigger twist) which is the only song of his I don't like. he's a typical braggy rapper on that track .and what a surprise that gets day time air play for that 1. I think he was about to sell his soal then went no fuck that, il be the voice of a generation instead !
