An 11 y/o shouldn't be trying to duplicate 30 year-old rock, he should be trying to create something NEW...imagine if Van Halen tried to duplicate 30 year-old rock, they'd been an acoustic 'folk band"...doing "Peter, Paul & Mary" and the "Mama's & Papa's"...today's children have no imagination..."their future, is the past".

Rock is slowly dying as each year pass by. You'll be one of the reasons of why it can be saved. Keep practicing.

Don't get stuck learning and playing other people's music. Especially, at your age. Find your own sound and style!! You're awesome!! Keep up all the hard work!!

Hey Aiden, I hope you don't wind up living the drug and alcohol scene that our old friend Eddie has done (or is still doing).  It's a shame to see talented musicians go down to drugs, that will never satisfy for long.  We who have been there may have thought we were having fun when it all started, but later regretted wasting our years and in many cases our lives.  Get your fulfillment from the talent that God has given you, and forget the fast life.

Nice covering , I understand your obvious passion for VH. Do you have a sound of your own? Have you written any songs yet? Though I understand @ age 11 it is tough having any substance or experience at life's song wrighting moments! Stay at it with humility and it will last forever!
