Anyone who's hating on "hardcore dancing" is probably butthurt because they or their girlfriend got decked in the face at a show and took it too personally. I've broken my thumb and nose at shows, had bruised ribs, and almost a concussion and I still love going into the pit. Where I'm from (Upstate NY) hardcore dancing is taken very seriously, almost like an art form. I'm sure many of you people hating on it frequently visit venues where a bunch of sceenie weenies are windmilling their arms like retarded planes and it left a bad impression. At the venues I attend, having bad form will result in you getting mocked and potentially knocked the fuck out. Not too say hardcore dancing can't be obnoxious. Crowdkillers and guys who randomly punch chicks and smaller dudes in the face when there isn't even a breakdown or completely unprovoked need to step the fuck back. But if you've witnessed ninjas in the pit doing literal backflips, b-twists, and corkscrews to a sick ass breakdown like I have, it gives you a new appreciation for it. Just my two cents.9 years ago
