As a kid I had the original LP album. Those old record players used to let you select the speed, 16,33,45,78. I would play the song on the slower speed which was just about this tempo.

On this day in 1970 {October 11th} "After Midnight" by Eric Clapton entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #75; and on December 6th, 1970 it peaked at #18 {for 2 weeks} and spent 12 weeks on the Top 100...It made the Top 10 in Canada, right at #10...And sad* to say, Eric Patrick Clapton will celebrate his 70th birthday come next March 30th {2015}...* The reason it’s sad, well I will be turning seventy years old two months before he does; my birthday is on January 15th {guess I’m not taking ‘old age’ too gracefully}...
