the band doesn't belong to us but as consumers, we have the right to bitch. the whole notion of "they're older now, bands change!" isn't true. there are many punk bands who are still punk bands. stop giving the band the easy way out. they found this style wasn't what they wanted to do anymore. fine. doesn't mean i can't have my opinions on it.

AFI were awesome then, and they're awesome now. And I agree with that most recent comment. The entitlement some fans feel is ridiculous. You don't have a right to demand anything of them. You can be a fan, buy their albums, and go to shows, but you're not entitled to anything else, especially not for them to make music that you want for no other reason that you want it. Change is a part of life, and they're all almost forty now. They're not going to be making the same music that they did in their twenties, and to expect them to? Is just utterly ridiculous.
