This brings me back to the age of 10... I got into AFI just before Black Sails came out, then I liked them. When Black Sails came out I didn't have internet, cable, no music magazines... so I had no clue what to expect. When I heard that album I was absolutely blown away. Then came this, then Sing the sorrow. End of high school, I got Decemberunderground, different, but still amazing. I was in college when Crash Love came out and loved it just the same. I will always life AFI no matter what.

@Abercrombieand1Bitch Listen to Offspring's first, self-titled album man, you can hear similarities. Albeit Offspring sounded pretty raw back then, but you can also hear similarities on there second album, Ignition. It's really interesting, I can't exactly put together a time-line of when each band was releasing similar sounding stuff, but that would be interesting.
